I was born in Lebanon, where I also finished my school and college education. While studying law at the Lebanese University, I was also volunteering in different humanitarian and environmental fields. During that time visual expression had been the easier way for me to better communicate ideas and thoughts. Above all that what made photography and painting among my first interests and favorite hobbies. Therefore I expressed them through my participation in numerous painting and photography exhibitions.
After that, in the year 2000 and for the next 5 years, I got the chance to live another passion of mine which is travel. I visited many exciting countries while working as a cabin crew with Emirates Airline. Meanwhile and I when was based in the UAE, I felt the urge to define my photography objective.
Consequently I took it to the next level starting 2005, by enrolling in different kinds of photography and multimedia courses and workshops. Some of them took place at SAE College, Dubai International Art Center, and Gulf Photo Plus. Most importantly these courses gave me the chance to learn from the experience of many of the best photographers from the US, UK and the Middle East. They all inspired me, in many beautiful ways and helped me build my own vision and style. Subsequently defining Zeina Kassem Photography.
After moving back to Lebanon in 2010, I continued to be a freelance photographer. Meanwhile my main focus was on portraiture, nature and humanitarian stories, in other words, life in all its aspects.
Travel photography, nature and humanitarian field are still occupying the rest of my time, as my first and main passion. In conclusion I never miss a chance to capture real life moments and natural beauty whether in Lebanon or abroad..
